WIP: 15mm Gruntz: Colonial Defense Force / Rebels

So I had some FoW models lying around and since I cannot seem to get a FoW game in (mostly because I am addicted to World of Tanks) I have decided to re-purpose some of the models and units. I have also been intrigued with using Matchbox cars as 15mm vehicles and found some that look promising. Besides they are a buck apiece.

Overall view of the force. It is supposed to be a highly mobile but very low tech force. Most of the vehicles are 4x4 or 6x6 vehicles suitable for a colony world and its rough driving conditions. It has no tanks or armored vehicles but has been given four surplus direct fire anti-tank / field guns and four automatic, remotely operated rocket mortars which have a six round clip. The force also boasts two large direct fire anti-armor railguns along with two large generator trucks.

Once the field guns have been emplaced in an ambush position the smaller up-armored scout trucks are free to push forward and drop of their small scout fire-team.

The Command squads use heavy duty pick-up trucks and after they tow the field guns into position for an ambush they move to another location and use the comm gear in the truck.

Field rail-gun and generator truck. These will be used for taking down heavily armored targets.

The bulk of the force is four world rover truck mounted infantry squads. Each squad has a heavy machine gun and an engineer section for em-placing mines and booby traps. The world rover trucks also tow their unit's four auto-mortars into sheltered position to provide a limited in-direct fire capability.

Obviously this force is still a work in progress and I will try to get the vehicles painted up this weekend at least. I may even try to add some Mechwarrior clix industrial mechs converted for 15mm to use with this rag-tag force of guerrilla fighters.
