10mm Ghost Fleet Ground Forces

In my ongoing campaign (shameless plug) I use this army to represent the Ghost Forces battling against the Terran Alliance. The Ghost Fleet are AI constructs who have gained recognition within the Synod of Worlds but instead of becoming corporate giants like their cousins the Consensus they have chosen the path of aggression and conflict and take long term contracts to destroy Fallen worlds and their inhabitants. They are rewarded with resource rights to the worlds they conquer.

The Synod are, for the most part, pacifists who use other dangerous civilizations to destroy each other or weaken them enough for the Synod fleet to finish them off. They actively avoid fighting on their own but have no problem hiring violent cultures to do their dirty work for them.

Ghost forces advance through the forward elements of the 5th battalion / 3rd Marines.

Cerberus Drones advance in a phalanx with Chimera Medium Mecha.

Chimera mecha have very dangerous plasma cannons that can strip a tank of armor in no time.

The Cerberus Drone uses a mix of Laser and Plasma weapons for both light armor and anti-personnel applications.

The Cerberus and Chimera are supported by heavier units like the Gorgon class Heavy Mecha and the Elephant class Assault Mecha

Two Fenrir class scout mecha operate in close cooperation with a unit of Cerberus drones and Gorgon class Heavies.

Two Fenrirs and an Elephant Assault mecha pounce on a unit of APC mounted infantry and destroy them inside their vehicles.

The Gorgon is a Heavy mecha which mounts a large plasma cannon for direct fire and a artillery missile pod for indirect fire against enemy infantry and light vehicles.

A Terran survelliance drone catches a rare sight on video, A War Elephant class command mecha. These mecha carry an AI splinter personality into battle and can direct the actions of a battalion of Ghost forces.

The Gorgon can take the Franks class MBT while shrugging off return fire with its heavy armor.

Close coordination and suicidal tenacity are the hallmarks of a Ghost ground forces attack.

Even heavily armored dropships like the Scarab can fall prey to the massed firepower of a Ghost Large Area Drone Network.

I used a lot of mechwarrior clix and repainted them in a robot legion color scene of drybrushed silver over black with red sensor clusters. I thought it was suitably ominous and really come together as an army when they are all together.
