Gruntz 15mm: Star Wars: BatRep for Seven Jedi vs GG and the Droid Horde

The Jedi are surrounded but they end up winning initiative despite using card activation for every unit and with one card for the Jedi.

Anakin, Obi-wan and Kit Fisto wen after General Grievous and... wait for it....grievously wounded him. Yoda went after a unit of Super Battle Droids while Aayla Secura took a unit of Battle droids. Mace Windu headed south and worked over a unit of Super Battle Droids. The MVP of the battle was Agen Kolar who held back three units and a Droid Commander by himself. For three turns. The pic above is of post turn three.

Yoda gets stuck in with some Supers.

Master Secura manhandled a unit of Battle Droids.

While Mace destroys a unit of Supers, Agen Kolar holds back the horde with his lightsaber LIKE A BOSS...

Obi-wan goes Mano e Mano with zee General. Kit Fisto gives a unit of Supers some hot Fisto action.

Anakin heads for a unit of Battle Droids to play with... he used to build them and now all he does is take them apart.

Another couple of turns shows a decided lack of droids on the board while Master Kolar steadfastly holds back three units by his badass self.

Yoda finishes off the last two Supers in the unit he has been playing with.

Agen Kolar taking a couple of droids at a time with his deflect blaster ability.

Kit Fisto slicing up some supers on his way to flank the droids pressing Master Kolar.

Obi-wan finishes of zee General in a climactic lightsaber duel.

Having finished off their opponents the rest of the Jedi converge on the three units Master Kolar has been keeping busy.

Master Kolar moves in close and sets up for an assault next turn if necessary.

The Cavalry arrives and starts demolishing the last two squads.

The upper right card was General Grievous' card. Master Agen Kolar's card was the bottom right card. Almost all of the Jedi took some damage. The Concentrated fire from the massed droids was pretty effective till they started losing droids. The +2 or +3 to hit and damage really managed to overcome the Jedi Deflect Blaster (Force Shield) ability. The Jedi had to spend a precious action each turn to reset it or be vulnerable to the massed attacks of the droids.

All in all it was a fun scenario and I was really worried that the Jedi would fall to the massed firepower of the droids. Taking out Grievous early was key. I think if GG was able to stick around and possibly take out even one of the Jedi then the droids would be able to overwhelm the rest of the Jedi. The game would make a good participation game at a con or other gaming convention.
