Hero's Tavern is an epic tournament that Kevin Whisnant has put on in years past for Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k. They are EPIC once in a lifetime tournaments that will give you stories for years to come... The only Warhammer fantasy battles that I remember just about every turn and battle happened at a Hero's Tavern event.
I have been talking to Kevin about helping me run an X-Wing version for a few weeks now. The basic set up will be to re-fight the battle of Endor. There will be two separate action going on.
Day One: It's a Trap!

Each side will choose an admiral who will command the Capitol Ship either a Mon Cal Cruiser or an Imperial Star Destroyer. He will also choose an Air Boss to command the Fighters. The two tables in the middle will be an ongoing dogfight but each side will be able to use Corvettes and the Rebels will be able to use Transports as well as Corvettes.
If we have enough people then I will use extra tables to run side missions that grant bonuses for the winning side from round to round like a tooled out Bounty Hunter, The Falcon, or Vader and his wingmen.
The goal for each side is the destruction of the opposing Capitol Ship. Whoever destroys the opposing capital ship first will have a huge bonus on day two where the Rebels will attempt to destroy the second Death Star.
