My Nephew is visiting from Florida and wanted to spend some time with me playing games. So I introduced him to Gruntz 15mm and his first game of tabletop wargaming.
The Scenario was that three drop canisters with desperately needed supplies had landed off target and needed to be retrieved. Two Vulture VTOLs each with a squad of Terran Marines would link up with two nearby Myrmidon teams to secure the supply drops. Ghost forces in the area appear to be light but appearances can be deceiving and intel is never right...
Myrmidons find a Ghost teleportation device next to the objective which immediately begin disgorging Ghost combat drones.
Another teleport device is discovered near the second objective an combat drones begin pouring from its powerful energies along with artillery fire and laser fire.
Vulture 2 drops off Squad 2 via fast rope who then push to the objective.

The Myrmidons secure the first objective.
The fight for the central objective get bloody. The Vulture is heavily damaged and will be shot down on turn 3.
The Third Objective is a closely fought firefight between the Marines and the Drones. The Shield drone manages to keep the standard combat drones in the fight with its power field providing a protective dome over both the drones and the teleportation globe. The Marines lose 7 out of the 8 man squad and the platoon sergeant pulls the last man back behind the objective. The Ghosts however see him and fire an artillery round specifically to take him out.
At the end of the game the Myrmidons held one objective, the Corpsman with 1st Squad managed to heal some of the Marines and kept that squad in the fight and contesting the middle objective. 2nd squad lost their objective but kept the Ghost forces out of range and unable to claim it at the end of the game.
Result: Terran Victory
Terrans lost one squad of Marines and one fire-team from the other squad. One Myrmidon was shot up pretty good and Vulture 1 went down near the central objective.
Ghosts lost one complete squad, one teleportation globe while another globe was heavily damaged and 2 of the 3 remaining squads were at half strength.
The Shield drones were key in keeping the combat drones alive and soaked up a lot of damage with their power fields. The Myrmidons and their FAVs secured their objective but did not seem as over powered as they were in the boarding action.
All in all it was a good game and I was glad to be able to spend time with my nephew Christian.
